Directions: Mash soybeans in large bowl with fork or potato masher. Mixture does not need to be smooth and completely mashed. Add all other ingredients and mix until well blended. Divide into four balls and form each into pattie. Cook in skillet coated with vegetable cooking spray until browned well on each side. (Mixture can also be made into meatballs and cooked in oven).
Yield: 4 patties.

Currant burgers Combine turkey and currants. Add next 7 ingredients and mix until
well-blended. Melt butter in a large frying pan. Make 3-inch patties and
fry over medium heat. Turn once, when browned, then serve.

Burgers with red onions In bowl, whisk egg with 1/4 cups water, bread crumbs, tomato paste,mint,
salt and pepper; mix in beef and parsley. Form into four 3/4 inch thick
patties.
Place on greased baking sheet; broil for 5 minutes per side or until no
longer pink inside.
Hot n' spicy beef burgers Combine ground beef, jalapeno peppers, cumin, salt and pepper; mix
lightly but thoroughly. Divide beef mixture into 4 equal portions;
shape into 1/2 inch thick patties, 4 inches in diameter. Place
patties on grid over medium coals. grill 7 to 9 mi Bean burgers 1. Heat the oil in a small skillet and saute the onion and garlic until tender but not browned. Combine with the beans, parsley, crumbs, egg yolks, cream, salt, pepper, and oregano and mix well. 2. Shape into 4 burgers and coat with wheat germ.
