powder. Cover and simmer about 30 minutes or until chicken is fork tender.
Remove from heat and allow chicken to cool in broth. When cool, separate

In medium saucepan, scald the half & half over medium heat, set aside. In
medium bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, 3/4 cup sugar, a pinch of salt,

Bean & sausage casserole Heat oven to 400~. Rinse frozen lima beans with cold water to
separate. Mix lima, baked, kidney and northern beans, onion and
sausage in ungreased 2-1/2-quart casserole. Mix remaining
ingredients; stir into bean mixture. Cover and bake 40 to 50 Grilled salmon with rosemary Cut the fish into 2 equal-size portions. Combine the olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, garlic, and rosemary in a bowl. Brush the mixture onto the fish.

crushed peppercorns; stir 1 Warmer kartoffelsalat (hot potato salad) Peel potatoes and slice paper thin. Saute bacon slowly in a frypan, then
drain on paper towels. Saute onion in bacon fat until golden brown.
Blend in flour, sugar, salt, celery seeds, and pepper. Cook over low
heat, stirring until smooth and Gringo potato salad Peel and cut up the potatoes. Boil potatoes and eggs.
While the potatoes boil, mix the sugar into the vinegar, stirring to
dissolve. Whisk in the oil, salt and pepper and mix gently. Mix

White bean and watercress gratin In a kettle combine the beans with enough cold water to cover them by 2 inches, bring the water to a boil, and simmer the beans, uncovered, for 2 minutes. Remove the kettle from the heat and let the beans soak, covered, for 1 hour. Drain the beans in a co Grilled chicken breasts Trim any excess fat from the chicken. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towel. Place in a shallow glass dish with olive oil and the juice from the salsa. Turn chicken thoroughly several times to coat. Season the breasts with salt and pepper. C Crawfish and egg salad To cook crawfish: In a saucepan bring 2 quarts water to boil with 2 tsp
salt and 1/2 tsp of red pepper. Add peeled crawfish tails to water. Bring
to boil and remove from heat immediately. Drain and cool. Chop hard-boiled
eggs. Chop crawfish and Grilled tarragon chicken breast 1. Spread mustard on both sides of chicken and sprinkle with pepper.
2. Cover and refrigerate for 2-4 hours.
3. Melt butter; stir in lemon juice, garlic salt and tarragon.
4. Cook over low heat 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Place chicken on grill o Bean & tomato soup Bring all ingredients except oil to boil in medium saucepan. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Add oil.
Fava bean crostini Shell the fava beans. You should have about 1 cup shelled beans. Cook beans in 1 quart b oiling water until just tender, about 3 to 5 minutes depending on the size of beans. Drain beans. Put hot beans into a bowl of ice water to cool. Drain. Peel outer sk Ranch style taco salad Saute ground beef, drain well and set aside to cool. Tear lettuce into pieces. Dice tomatoes and onion. Grate cheese. Drain beans. Break corn chips into smaller pieces. Chop avocado and sprinkle with lemon juice, lightly tossing to coat.

Sprinkle salt in a salad bowl. Rub garlic around bowl; discard
garlic. Add vinegar, mustard, sugar, mayonnaise, yogurt, scallions
and dill. Mix until combined. Add potatoes, peas and Vegetarian barley & bean soup In 4-quart saucepan or Dutch oven, cook onion and garlic in oil until
onion is tender. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce
heat to low; cover. Simmer 45 to 50 minutes or until barley is tender,
stirring occasionally. Add add Bow-tie pasta salad Mix everything between pasta and sundried tomatoes.
Make dressing by mixing tarragon vinegar, salt, basil-garlic oil and herbs.
Toss the dressing and pasta together. Sprinkle cranberries over top, let it chill for 2 hours and then serve.
Adobo (mexican smoked chile marinade) This spicy marinade owes its unusual flavor to the chipotle, a smoked
jalapeno chile. Chipotles are usually sold canned in tomato paste. Look
for them at Mexican and Latin American markets. Adobo marinade goes
particularly well with pork.
