Directions: Put sugar in the bowl of a food processor, and scrape in vanilla seeds.
Process until combined. Sift into a bowl, and discard any large pieces of
vanilla.
Put egg whites, vanilla-sugar mixture, and salt in the heatproof bowl of an
electric mixer. Set over a pan of simmering water. Whisk constantly
until sugar has dissolved and mixture registers 160F on an instant-read
thermometer.
Return bowl to mixer; fit mixer with the whisk attachment. Beat on
medium-high speed until stiff, glossy peaks form, and mixture is cool,
about 10 m
inutes.
Switch to the paddle attachment. With mixer on medium speed, add butter, 1
or 2 T at a time, mixing well after each addition. Mix, scraping down
sides of bowl as neede, until the mixture is smooth. Mix in vanilla
extract. Use immediately, or cover and refrigerate.

saucepan. Cook over medium heat until cus Creme semisweet chocolate frosting Melt chocolate chips and butter in top of double boiler over boiling water,
gradually add evaporated milk and stir until smooth. Allow to cook to room
temperature. Add marshmallow creame and beat until smooth. Yield: frosts
sides and tops of Fudge frosting Combine cream, sugar, chocolate and egg yolk. Stir thoroughly to
dissolve sugar. With a damp cloth wipe away any sugar crystals which
appear on the sides of the sauce pan.
Cook very slowly to 232 degrees or until a soft ball stage is reached.

Butter cake with browned butter frosting Heat oven to 350ø. In large mixer bowl combine sugar and 3/4 cup butter.
Beat at medium speed until creamy (1-2 minutes). Add egg yolks and vanilla.
Continue beating, scraping bowl often, until well mixed (1 minute). Reduce
speed to low. Beat, gradu Brown sugar frosting #2 Melt butter and add brown sugar and milk. Boil 1 minute and add the vanilla and the powdered sugar. Mix and put on favorite cake or brownies.
Vanilla ricotta creme Stir ingredients together and serve chilled in a dessert bowl.

This is the frosting that spoiled our claim to the Ugly Cake and put it on the plates of the multitude.
Creamy coconut frosting Combine milk, sugar, butter, egg yolks and vanilla in a heavy saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly about 12 minutes or until
thickened.
Mixture will be the consistency of pudding. Remove from heat and stir in
coconut.
Cool complete Vanilla shortbread cookies Sift flour, 3/4 cup powdered sugar, cornstarch, and salt into medium bowl.
Using electric mixer, beat butter in large bowl until fluffy. Gradually
beat in granulated sugar and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients in 3
additions, mixing until just blended each White satin frosting Place egg whites, sugar, corn syrup and salt in top of double boiler and beat 30 seconds on high speed until blended. Place blended mixture over rapidly boiling water and cook, beating constantly on high speed for 6 to 7 minutes or until stiff and fluffy. Caramel-vanilla ice cream Pour sweetened condensed milk into two 8-inch pieplates. Cover with
aluminum foil. Place each pieplate in a larger shallow pan filled with hot
water to depth of 1/4 inch. Bake at 425 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes
or until condensed milk is Caramel frosting Melt margarine and add sugar. Stir over heat until light brown.
Add milk. Cook until mixture forms soft ball in water.
When cool frost completely cooled cake.

Carrot cake & cream cheese frosting Grease and flour a 13x9x2" pan or 3 9" round pans.
Blend oil and sugar. Add eggs. Add flour, baking soda, cinnimon, carrots, and almond extract.
Pour into greased and floured pans.
Bake at 350 for 1.25hrs in the 13x9x2" pan or 18-25 min i Soft chocolate frosting Gradually add sugar to the slightly beaten egg. Beat until smooth and
light.
Add salt and melted chocolate, blending well. Add vanilla. Cool before
spreading.
This makes sufficient to cover tops and sides of an 8x8 inch loaf cake.
Helpful kitchen Home-made vanilla extract Anyone interested in a recipe for home-made vanilla extract? It
makes a fun gift for Christmas, packaged in a small jar with ribbon
around neck, included recipe for same, a bag of brownie or cookie mix
which requires vanilla and a brownie pan. Alice's butter frosting Mix sugar and Crisco together. Heat milk until hot on finger. (Do not
boil.) Add half of the milk to sugar ~ Crisco mixture and beat 2 minutes.
Add rest of milk and beat 8 minutes longer (a total of 10 minutes all

Vanilla milk 1. Pour milk into glass.
2. Add vanilla and sugar.
3. Add ice cubes.
4. Stir/shake vigoursly.
Hungarian chocolate frosting Melt chocolate in double boiler. Remove from boiling water, add sugar and water, and blend. Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each. Add butter, a tablespoon at a time, beating thoroughly after each amount. Makes enough frosting to cover the Fluffy chocolate butter frosting In small bowl of mixer blend butter and chocolate.
Gradually beat in sugar alternately with water.
Place bowl in bowl of ice water and beat until fluffy.
Stir in vanilla.
Makes about 2 Cups.
NOTE: The secret of fluffy frosting is to beat it in Creamy chocolate frosting In small heavy saucepan cook and stir cornstarch, water, milk, butter and
salt over low heat until thickened and smooth; remove from heat.
Stir in chocolate until melted, returning to low heat if necessary.
Stir in vanilla.
Chill until thickened a Frosting for melt-aways Soften cream cheese. Add sugar and vanilla and beat until smooth.
Add milk in small quantities until desired consistency is obtained.
Cream cheese frosting Blend softened cheese and margarine in mixer. Blend and whip in the sugar. Ready to spread.
Creamy lemon-vanilla ricotta souffles Preheat the oven to 375. Lightly coat 4 ramekins with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, whisk ricotta, egg yolks, 1 tablespoon of the sugar substitute, lemon zest, lemon extract and vanilla until combined.

Add: 1 t. vanilla
? cups chocolate chips
Philadelphia vanilla ice cream Heat cream just until bubbles form. Stir in sugar until dissolved. Cool and
add vanilla. Chill and stir freeze.
Makes about 1 quart.
Note: This recipe is for a 1-quart machine. Double or triple ingredients if
needed for your machine.
From Spiced fritters with maple vanilla syrup For syrup:
Combine maple syrup and cinnamon stick in medium saucepan. Scrape in seeds
from vanilla bean; add bean. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5
minutes. Scrape down sides of pan. Let syrup cool completely.
