Directions: In a large skillet, combine onions, garlic, butter, vinegar, salt and
pepper with 1 3/4 cups water; bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat
to medium-low; simmer until most liquid has evaporated, about 45 minutes.
continue to cook, stirring often, unt Cut 3 tomatoes into thin wedges; add
to onions and cook, stirring occassionally, until tomatoes soften but
retain their shape, 5 to 10 minutes. Set aside. This is the relish. Quarter
remaining tomatoes; puree in food processor with basil. Strain. Return to
food processor; add stock and half the relish; puree. This is the marinade.
Serve relish warm or at room temperature.

Chinese: hot and sour soup with tofu Makes 8 Servings
Heat oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add peppera snd
onion; stir fry about 5 minutes.
Add chicken broth, vegetable stock and soy sauce. Bring to boiling.
Lower heat; simmer for about 5 minutes. Stir together vinegar Chicken dopiaza ( chicken in a fried onion sauce ) Cut chicken into serving pieces. Whole legs should be separated into
drumsticks and thighs. Whole breasts should be cut into 4-6 pieces,
depending on their size. Skin all the chicken pieces.
Chop half of the onions coarsely. Cut the remaining onions into Sweet almond pudding with dates In small bowl, mix rice flour & almond powder; add cold water a
little at a time to make a thick, smooth paste. Thin further with
1/2 cup of milk. Pour into heavy saucepan, add remaining milk, and
slowly heat to just under boiling, stirrin Onion cookies Cut onions very thin. Add all other ingredients.
Roll very thin on floured board. Cut into rounds or
squares. Bake in 400 degree oven 10 to 15 minutes

Italian sausage (sweet or hot) pper
Add 2 tsp crushed red peppers for HOT sausage. Combine all ingredients,
mix well and stuff into hog casing or make patties.
Argentine marinade An Argentine asado or barbecue is not authentic without this delicious
marinade called chimichuri. it is similar to a multi spiced
vinaigrette and is given an earthier tone with the addition of
saffron.
I serve this with poultry or shellfish and Rosemary balsamic marinade Whisk together vinegar, oil, garlic and pepper in a nonreactive bowl.
Scatter half the rosemary in a shallow nonreactive dish; arrange meat on
top. Cover with marinade; rub gently into meat.
Sprinkle with remaining rosemary. Cover; refrigerate for lengt Sesame-soy marinade Combine all ingredients in small bowl; stir until sugar is dissolved.

sauce and ginger; stir in the chicken. Let stand for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, drain the mandarin oranges, reserving 1/4 cup of the
syrup. Blend the sweet and sour sauce with the reserved syru Creole relish tray Blanch the green beans and carrots separately in a large pot of boiling salted water for 4 to 5 minutes. Drain, and shock in ice water to cool. Put all of the ingredients in a large glass bowl. Toss to coat the vegetables evenly with the olive oil.
Refrig Easy onion dip 1. Combine all five ingredients in blender.
2. Process until fairly smooth.
3. Refrigerate for several hours until onion is soft.
Peanut garlic marinade Put broth, peanut butter, garlic, lemon juice and sugar in the blender.

Fajita marinade * I have used diet cola with no problem.
Combine cola and soy sauce. Sprinkle meat with garlic salt to taste and at
least 1 Tablespoon lemon pepper per pound of meat. Marinate 6-8 hours.

cover until done. Drain and cool.
Cube potatoes; add eggs, pickles, celery seeds, mustard, salt, pepper, and
dressing. Stir gently. Refrigerate 24 hours. Garnish wit Croatian sour soup Simmer potato in salted water until tender but firm. Drain and set aside, covered.
Saute the onions and paprika in the oil, add the garlic and saute for a few minues more. Mix in the fennel, bay leaf, carrots, parsnips and celery, saute for 5 minutes, sti Abm sourdough dill and onion rye I just realized that I never added any sugar or dry milk. It doesn't seem
to miss them. Next time I'll add more dill and onion. The jars were almost
empty when my baking fit struck me, so I went with what I had.

Cut Chicken Breasts into half. Lightly salt and pepper the chicken strips.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken strips and brown on both sides, Marinade for bbq Remove skin from thighs of chicken and marinate in sauce for 1-2 hours, the
bbq for half an hour on low heat to prevent flame up, do not char. Enough
fat will cook out of the meat to give a nice BBQ flavor.
