Caramel-vanilla ice cream Pour sweetened condensed milk into two 8-inch pieplates. Cover with
aluminum foil. Place each pieplate in a larger shallow pan filled with hot
water to depth of 1/4 inch. Bake at 425 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes
or until condensed milk is Instant chocolate syrup In a heavy saucepan, combine cocoa, cinnamon and water; stir or whisk until
there are no dry lumps of cocoa. Stir and cook over medium heat until
mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat; boil gently, stirring often for five
minutes or until mixtur Spiced carrot & orange soup Reserve & set aside 1/2 lb carrots. Heat oil in a
large soup pot, saute onions & celery till golden.
Add all but reserved carrots, water, orange juice,
wine & spices. Bring to a boil, cover & simmer over
moderate heat till veget Rich vanilla ice cream Heat cream, milk and sugar in heavy saucepan, stirring until sugar
dissolves. Add egg yolks by adding some mixture to eggs to dilute, and then
adding diluted eggs to rest of pan (adding straight will cook them and make
