San Francisco Pork Chops



Ingredients:
2 Ounce(s) soy sauce
1 Pound(s) pressed garlic
39/2500 Quart(s) + 1 teaspoon olive oil
163/2500 Pound(s) brown sugar
217/10000 Pound(s) corn starch
2 Ounce(s) dry sherry
1/8 Cup(s) water
4 1/2-3/4 inch thick pork chop
1/4 crushed red pepper flakes
Directions: Heat 1 tabelspoon oil in skillet. Brown chops with garlic on both sides. Combine 1 teaspoon oil, sherry,soy sauce, brown sugar and red pepper flakes. Pour sauce over chops. Cover tightly. Simmer over low heat until chops are tender and cooked through, 30-35 minutes (or 20 minutes of using boneless chops 1/4 inch thick). Add a little water if needed to keep sauce from cooking down too much. Turn chops once during cooking. Remove chops. Dissolve corn starch in water and stir into sauce. Cook until sauce is thickened. Serve over buttered noodles.
