Orzo and rice pilaf with vegetables Heat oil and butter in a deep 12-inch heavy skillet over moderately high
heat until foam subsides, then saut orzo, stirring constantly, until
golden brown, about 1 minute. Add onion, carrots, celery, garlic, salt, and
pepper and saut, stirring occasionall City ham (alton brown) Ham in natural juices.
Use a utility knife to slice around ham and create diagonal pattern.
Place the ham on a towel in a roasting pan (to drain fat).
Tent with foil. Bake 250F 3-4 hours until 130F.
Pull off crust/rind from the outside of the ham.
Layer Brown sugar ginger snaps Cream together the butter and brown sugar. Beat in the egg, vanilla, ginger. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt, and then combine with the other ingredients. This may be put in the fridge for a half hour or so to make the dough easier to handle. Rol Brown chicken stock - master chefs Preheat your oven to 450 F.
Roast the chicken bones in a roasting pan in the oven for 30
minutes, then add the vegetables and roast for 15 minutes more.

stirring, until golden. Add the tomato paste, thyme and paprika and
mix well. Pour in water and salt. Add the bay leaf and let boil for
about 20 minutes, until rice is done.
Wild and brown rice salad with roasted brazil nuts Toast the nuts in the oven at 190c. for 10 minutes, or alternatively in the microwave on "high" until golden. Allow the nuts to cool then chop roughly, keeping a few large pieces to garnish.

Place frozen vegetables in microwave-safe bowl, cover loosely with plastic wrap and microwave on HIGH for 6 minutes.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. In a small bow Brown rice pilaf #2 Dice onion. Peel and dice the tomatoes. Add oil to large skillet over medium high heat. Add onion and rice and saute about 5 minute stirring constantly until slightly brown. Add all the other ingredients bring to a boil.
