We used a pear to sweeten the strong flavor of turnips, then added some
roasted garlic for a robust Roasted aspragus (ew) Preheat oven to 450 F. Snap off the tough ends of the asparagus and, if
desired, peel the stalks. In a shallow roasting pan or baking sheet with
sides, toss the asparagus with oil and season with salt and pepper. Spread
the asparagus in a sing Roasted eggplant stuffed with beef Preheat the oven to 400 F.
Pierce the eggplant in 2 or 3 places and place on a baking sheet.
Roast, turning once or twice, for 20 minutes or just until tender.
When cool enough to handle, halve lengthwise and scoop out the pulp, leaving a 1/2 to 3/4 inch Roasted chicken breasts with five spice glaze Combine the shallot, garlic, brown su

into 4 wide-mouthed pint canning jars, dividing them equally. As the
peppers are packed, scatter among them a share of the seasonings:

reserve liquid. Place eggplant and onion in small baking dish. Top
with cheese. Blend condesnsed soup, 1 Tb of eggplant liquid, bread
crumbs, thyme, salt, and pepper. Pou Roasted corn and shrimp salad Get your grill warm or preheat your oven to 450 degrees.
In a non-stick pan with a little oil cook the shrimp until pink and firm. Remove the shrimp from the pan to a plate covered with paper towels and let them rest until cool. Cut each shrimp into bi Spicy eggplant in ginger-tamarind sauce (masala vangi) Put the tamarind in a nonmetallic bowl. Add 1/4 cup boiling water

lengthwise slashes on the cut side Herbed roasted winter vegetables Position 1 rack in top third and 1 rack in bottom third of oven and preheat
to 375F. Spray 2 large rimmed baking sheets with nonstick spray. Melt
butter with olive oil in small saucepan over medium-low heat. Combine red
beets, large pinch of thyme, large Hearty eggplant-barley bake In a large no-stick frying pan over medium heat, saute onions, mushrooms,
peppers, and garlic in 1 tbs. water until softened, about 5 minutes. Add
eggplant and 2 tbsp. water; saute until softened, about 10 minutes.
Add the tomatoes (with their No-fry eggplant parmesan Use an Italian style prepared sauce or homemade. Preheat oven to
425F. Slice the washed eggplant into 1/2" rounds (not necessary to
peel). Spread both sides of the rounds with a thin layer of
mayonnaise. Combine 3/4 cup of the Parmesan chees Spicy eggplant salad (bonjan) from afghanistan Slice the eggplants crosswise into 1,5 inch thick pieces. Sprinkle
them with 2 tsp. coarse salt and let stand for 15 minutes. rinse
eggplants under cold water, which removes the bitter taste, rinse,
and dry well on a towel.
