For dressing, mix wasabi powder with 1 t. warm water and let stand 10
minutes. Combine all dressing ingredients and and whisk until smooth. For

and bring to a boil over high heat. Cover, reduce heat; simmer until beans
absorb most of the water, about 30 to 45 minutes. Add stock and continue

ungreased 2-quart casserole. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.

Combine rest of ingredients in a sauce pan and simmer until thickened.
Glaze toasted nuts with sauce. Cool on silpat. Break apart.
Store in airtight container.

Roasted garlic carrots Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Arrange carrots in a 13 x 9 inch baking
dish. Add oil, water and garlic. Cover with foil and bake until the
carrots are fork-tender, about 30 mins.
Uncover and turn carrots. Bake until they are golden, about 10 mins
Wild rice meat loaf Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, mix well. Firmly press into a greased 9x5x3" loaf pan. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 70 min. Cover with foil during the last 15 minutes if the top is browning too quickly.
Yield: 4-6 servings.
Cereal fruit rice stuffing Saute rice, celery and onions in margarine over medium heat until rice is lightly
browned. Add all remaining ingredients except cereal. Bring to a boil. Cover;

Mix rice, green onions, parsley, bell pepper, and artichoke hearts. Toss

like to ke Stovetop rice pudding Combine rice and 1.5 cups milk, sugar and salt in heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat. Stir occasionally until thick and creamy, 15-20 minutes. Blend remaining half cup milk and egg. Stir into rice mixture. Add raisins. Cook 2 minutes longer, stirring o Chicken and rice casserole Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Heat butter or oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add onion and saute until translucent, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and transfer to a large bowl.

Spicy spanish rice 28 oz Canned tomatoes, chopped
Cook rice according to package directions; set aside. Brown hamburger,
add onion, celery, and green pepper; cook until tender. Add chili powder,
black pepper, salt and tomatoes. Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes. Add German potato salad (rice) In a large skillet, fry bacon until crisp; remove and set aside. Drain all
but 2-3 tablespoons of drippings; cook onion until tender. Stir in flour;
blend well. Add vinegar and water; cook and stir until bubbly and slightly
thick. Add sugar and Baked rice with green chiles * Use 2 4-oz cans of chopped green chiles which have been drained.
Heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Mix all the ingredients in an
ungreased 2-quart casserole. Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes, or
until done.
Garlic-mustard butter Cooking Directions
In a small bowl, stir together ingredients until well mixed. Wrap in waxed paper to shape stick of butter. Chill while pork is cooking. When ready to serve, cut into fourths and top each pork mignon before serving.
Goes well with Bacon- Paprika rice Heat the oil in a heavy saucepan. Add the rice and onion and saute,
stirring, until golden. Add the tomato paste, thyme and paprika and
mix well. Pour in water and salt. Add the bay leaf and let boil for
about 20 minutes, until rice is done.
