"My mother-in-law, Laura Cunningham Dobson, gave me this recipe in the
1950s. Laura was a teacher and musician, a good cook and a beautiful
person. We like this drink because it is so refreshing."
In saucepan, bring rhubarb and 4 cups water to a boil; reduce heat to
medium and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until
rhubarb is softened. In cheesecloth lined sieve set over bowl, strain
rhubarb for at least 2 hours or overnight. Discard pulp. Stir sugar
and orange and lemon juices into rhubarb juice. Transfer to pitcher
and refrigerate. just before serving, add soda water.
SERVES: 6

Sparkling punch 2 Combine 3 cups water and sugar. Heat until sugar is dissolved, then boil
7 minutes. Cool and refrigerate. Combine 3 cups boiling water and tea

Hot punch Combine sugar and water. Boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add
spices. Cover and let brew 1 hour. Strain. Before serving, combine
syrup, juices and cider. Bring quickly to boil and serve immediately.
Cranberry lime nonalcoholic punch In punch bowl, combine cranberry cocktail, limeade concentrate,
pineapple and ginger ale. Just before serving, add soda water and ice.

Autumn apple punch Place apple juice in a NON-aluminum kettle; tie spices in
cheesecloth, add to kettle, and simmer uncovered 15 minutes; discard
spice bag. Mix spiced juice with remaining fruit juices. To serve,
place a large block of ice in a large punch bowl Impossible rhubarb streusel pie Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 9" pie plate.
Cut margarine into 1/2 cup baking mix and brown sugar until crumbly; stir
in nuts. Reserve.
Arrange rhubarb evenly in pie plate.

Rhubarb pilaf Place bulgur in a medium sized saucepan or mixing bowl & add 2 1/2 c
boiled water. Cover & set aside to steep for 30 minutes.
In a large skillet, saute the onions in oil until translucent. Stir
in the garlic & rhubarb & saute f Rhubarb-blueberry cake Melt 1 stick of butter in 9" square pan. Add the rest of the ingredients to the butter in pan and mix. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Backe 325 degrees, 30-40 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
Wassal punch Combine all ingredients and simmer over low heat for 2 hours.
Indian tea punch To make the tea base. Juice the three lemons and set aside. Dissolve sugar in 1/2 cup hot water. Take 1.5 cups of strong tea (about eight bags or 1/2 cup loose-allow it to steep for one hour) Mix lemon juice, sugar water, tea, vanilla and almond extra Ghoulish punch Stir boiling water into dry gelatin in large bowl at least 2
minutes until completely dissolved. Stir in juice. Cool to room
temperature.
Pour into punch bowl just before serving. Add seltzer and ice;

Spiced hot grape punch Combine grape juice, apple juice, lemon juice, brown sugar, ginger,
cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon stick in large nonaluminum saucepan. bring
just to simmering. Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes. Strain to remove
spices. Serve hot in mugs.
Desmond's rum punch Combine all ingredients in a large cocktail shaker. Shake well to combine. Pour into a glass. Garnish with swizzle stick.
SUGAR SYRUP Makes 3/4 cup
Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan. Boil for 5 minutes. Let cool.
Store extra syrup in refri Emerald punch 1 - Add frozen limeade to punch bowl
2 - add water and pineapple juice
3 - mix until frozen limeade has dissolved
4 - add pop
5 - pour in honey and mix well

Fruit punch 1 In a large pitcher combine soft drink mix and water; mix well. Add orange
juice concentrate; mix well. When ready to serve, pour into punch bowl and
add the white soda. Yield: 20 servings (5 quarts).

Rhubarb sponge pudding Neat the oven to 180C/Gas 4. Beat the butter and caster sugar in a bowl until light and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well.
Gently fold in the sifted flour until you have a batter of dropping consistency.
Cut the rhubarb stalks into 2cm len Freezer strawberry-rhubarb jam RINSE clean plastic containers and lids with boiling water. Dry thoroughly.
MEASURE crushed strawberries and finely chopped rhubarb int
o large bowl. Stir in sugar. Let stand 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
MIX pectin and lemon juice in small bowl. Add Another rhubarb pudding 1.Cut rhubarb into small pieces and place in greased 8" square pan
2.Blend half the sugar with butter
3.Add cereal
4.Sift flour with baking powder and 1/4 tsp. salt
5.Add flour mixture to butter mixture alternately with milk & mix well
Slush punch Cook together boiling water and sugar til sugar dissolves. Add pineapple
juice, orange juice and lemon juice to mixture and stir. Pour into
container and freeze. Remove 2 hours before serving. Add 2 cans of 7-up
and 1 bottle of Club Soda.
Whisky punch and whisky toddy Peel lemons finely, squeeze out juice, put peel and juice in large jug with sugar.
Pour boiling water over, leave until cold.
Strain into large bowl, add bottle of Scotch whisky, stirring well.
Chill for at least 1 hour, serve.
Toddy: Peel circle of peel, Punch for parties Makes 1 gallon
Punch 1. Thaw out the Sherbet, still in the container
2. Spread out the Sherbet in the cups
3. Make sure the Ginger Ale is cold and pour it over the sherbet
4. Refrigerate the Frapait for about an hour
"smoking" punch To make it "smoke" put dry ice in instead of regular ice.
This punch is not alcoholic, but it tastes as if their might be something
in it. Since my family knows what's in it, we don't care, but I have had
the question put to me Halloween punch In a blender, blend drink mix, sugar, and pineapple juice until sugar is
dissolved and mixture is frothy. Pour into a punch bowl; add water and
ginger-ale. Serve immediately.
Another rhubarb muffins Preheat oven to 400°F.
Put the rhubarb pieces in a bowl and coat with the 1/2 cup sugar, set
aside.
In a large bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, and salt. Make a well
in the center. In another bowl, cream butter, beat in egg until smooth Rosy rhubarb sherbet In large saucepan, combine rhubarb and 1 cup sugar, orange peel, orange
juice and corn syrup. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and
cook until rhubarb is tender, about 10 minutes; cool. Pour into laof pan or
freezer trays; freez Hot spiced punch Tie cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon stick in cheesecloth bag. Heat cider and
lemon juice for 10 mins, add spice packet, and simmer long enough to
get desired taste. Remove spice packet and serve hot.
Steaming hot holiday punch * Cinnamon sticks are optional but make a very pretty addition as stirrers in steaming hot mugs of punch.
Combine all the ingredients in a very large heavy pan, except the cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil and turn to simmer for few minutes. You can put th Rhubarb crunch Spread rhubarb out evenly in greased 11x7 pan or glass baking dish.

corn starch
water

Stir until thick and clear.
Add vanilla.
Pour over rhubarb.
Combine remaining ingredients and sprinkle over mixture.
