Directions: Boil pork 5 minutes to get rid of salt. Put pork in second water
(hot) and add beans, water, should be one-half inch above beans.
Add immediately, one bell pepper, one chopped onion, celery, garlic,
Italian seasoning and whole hot pepper. Cook slowly two to three
hours, until gravy is thick and beans tender -- just before dishing
out add a pinch of italian seasoning again. Salt to taste and
serve with rice.

"fried" brown rice One of our favorite quick (but incredibly messy) meals is "fried" brown
rice. I find I like it even better than the fried white rice I get at
Chinese restaurants. We had this last night:
In a LARGE non-stick skillet, sautй the Western beans and rice (vegan) In large skillet, cook onions and celery in oil until
tender. Stir in tomato sauce, water, seasonings, and
beans. Heat thoroughly. Serve over hot rice. Note:

In a medium size oven baking dish combine rice, beef consomme, French
onion soup Brown rice saute with parsley and sage Wash the rice well under cold water, then place in a saucepan with
water to cover by 1/4". Bring to a boil over high heat, then turn
the heat down low and cover tightly. Simmer until all water is
absorbed, approximately 1 hour.
In a f Chicken rice dinner In a 3 quart microwave casserole mix salt, rice, carrots, soup and water.
Place chicken parts, thick side out, around outside of casserole and baste
with a bit of the liquid. Cover tightly and cook on high for 20 minutes.
Shake casserole to sti Wild rice holiday dressing If you prefer wild rice that is not as chewy, soak wild rice in water to cover 2 hours or longer. Drain well. Dissolve sugar in warm water. Sprinkle yeast over water. Stir briefly. Let sit for 10 minutes until foamy on top.
