rice. Cover and remove from heat. At the end of 5 minutes, fluff with a
fork. Set aside.
Heat remaining butter in a 9-inch skillet. Add celery, onion, orange and
lemon peels, Broccoli with garlic mayonnaise Mix mayonnaise and garlic: cover and refrigerate about 2 hours. Cut
broccoli stalks lengthwise into thin spears. Place stremer basket into
1/2" water in saucepan or skillet (water should not touch the bottom of
basket). Place broccoli in Bean casserole Fry onion and garlic in bacon fat until limp. Mix with remaining
ingredients. Pour into casserole dish; bake 1 hr. at 350 F.
Beef tomato enchilada casserole > make-a-mix cookery Dip container of frozen mix into hot water just to loosen.
In 2-quart saucepan, heat frozen mix, water, olives and chili powder to
boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer, stirring frequently, until mix is
thawed, about 20 minutes.

Quick potato salad for one In small bowl combine first seven ingredients; mix well. Add potatoes; toss

Chops with amber rice In skillet, brown pork chops on both sides. Season with salt & pepper.
Place uncooked rice in a 10x12" baking dish. Combine orange juice, water
and 1/2 tsp salt; pour over rice. Arrange browned pork chops on top. Spread
soup over all. Cover Spicy rice & nuts Saute first 3 ingredients together till celery and/or onion turns
translucent. Add the next 4 ingredients and fry till spices begin to turn
brown and you can smell them in the air. Add the rice and stir-fry till it
begins to turn golden brown Chicken taco rice Mix cooked chicken, broth, tomato sauce, taco seasoning, and rice in saucepan. Cover and simmer until rice is done (about 40 minutes). Fluff with a fork, sprinkle with cheese, and serve with tortilla chips.
Ham and egg casserole Remove crust and butter one side of the bread. Layer 9x13 inch pan with
1/2 of the bread. (Cut to fit pan, buttered side down) Sprinkle ham,
cheese then bell pepper over the bread. Layer the rest of the pan with
bread, buttered side down. Bea Pineapple casserole Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Fold in crushed pineapple and bread.
Bake in buttered bread pan at 350 degrees for 40-60 minutes.

7 grain - rice and vegetable salad Toss ingredients together with mayonnaise or salad dressing of choice.
Chill. Serve on a bed of alfalfa sprouts.
Broccoli-cheddar soup Bring 3 quarts water to boil in a Dutch oven; add broccoli and cook 7 mins
or until tender. Drain; set aside. Coat a large saucepan with cooking
spray. Add margarine and place over medium heat until melted. Add onion
and garlic; saute 5 mins or un Wild rice stuffing Rinse the rice in a strainer with cold water and drain. Soak the rice in cold water to cover for at least 4 hours. Drain again.
Toss the apple pieces with the lemon juice to prevent browning. If using fresh corn, cut the kernels off the cobs.
Heat the oil Wild rice with toasted almonds and dried cherry This goes well with Duck.
Soak dried cherries in water, apple juice, brandy or any type of liquor for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Chop cherries and toasted almonds a bit.
Simmer wild rice with cherries for 45-60 minutes in lightly salted water, un Cheese & rice casserole from joan johnson 1. Combine all in a mixing bowl. Pour into casserole dish sprayed with
