Ingredients: 217/10000 Pound(s) sifted baking soda 163/2500 Pound(s) butter 2 raw peanut 1/2 Cup(s) warm water 1 light corn syrup 1 27/625 Pound(s) sugar |
Directions: Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a 2 quart glass measuring pitcher. Stir well and cook uncovered in microwave 3-5 minutes or until sugar is disolved (the mixture is almost clear when this happens). Add peanuts and cook 10 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Add butter and cook 10 more minutes, stirring every five minutes. Add baking soda and mix well, quickly scrapping the sides and bottom, but do not over
stir (this causes the brittle to be hard and flat). Pour into 17 x 12 buttered baking sheet but do not spread with spoon. Cool and let get firm. Break into pieces and store in air tight container.
