Directions: Preheat oven to 350° F. Sift flour for measurement. Sift flour, baking soda, and salt together. Set dry ingredients aside.
Cream Crisco, then add sugar, egg, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Add dry sifted
ingredients slowly, mixing constantly. Add oatmeal, nuts, and candy. Mix thoroughly.
Place spoon size portions onto baking sheet. Bake- approximately 14 minutes (depending on oven). Check for proper browning. Remove from oven allow cookies to cool shortly on baking sheet, then remove them to a cooling rack.
Remember, baking is an exacting art, not magic as Sean seems to think. Follow the directions completely, and don't let the Crisco melt before you cook the cookies.
