Mom's Macaroni & Cheese



Ingredients:
8 Ounce(s) Macaroni, elbow
2 Cup(s) Cheese, sharp cheddar
1/4 Cup(s) Double cream;-=OR=- better
1/4 Cup(s) BLUE CHEESE,SOFT,CRUMBLED
2 Cup(s) American Cheese; Shredded
2 Eggs
1 Teaspoon(s) Lemon; juice
1/8 Teaspoon(s) Pepper
Directions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cook macaroni according to package directions. In baking dish alternate macaroni & grated cheese in layers, ending with cheese. Mix other ingredients and pour over same. Bake 20-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crust is browned and bubbly. (This was one of my favorite dishes as a child. I don't remember ever watching my mother measure any of the ingredients for this dish. But this is the recipe she sent me after I moved out-of-state and called home wanting some of her recipes. Also she always baked this in a large cast iron skillet.) From: Intercook
