Ingredients: 1/4 Basic dough 1/3 Cup(s) cut-up dates 3 Tablespoon(s) finely chopped nuts 3 Tablespoon(s) brown sugar; packed 2 Tablespoon(s) water 1/4 Teaspoon(s) grated orange peel |
Directions: Refrigerate dough about 1 hour.
Mix remaining ingredients in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring
occasionally, until thickened, 2 to 3 minutes; cool.
Roll dough between two pieces of waxed paper into rectangle, 10x8 inches
(moisten surface to keep waxed paper from slipping).
Spread date mixture evenly over dough. Roll up tightly, beginning at
wide side.
Wrap in waxed paper; refrigerate until firm enough to slice, about 2
hours.
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Cut into slices about 1/4" thick. (If dough crumbles, let stand at room
temperature until softened, about 15 minutes).
Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until light brown, 10 to 12
minutes. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen cookies.

Swedish ginger cookies Yield: 5 Dozen Cookies. Cream the butter and sugar until light. Add
the egg, orange rind, corn syrup and water blending well. Sift the
dry ingredients together and add to the butter mixture. Chill the
dough thoroughly. Roll out very thin, about 1/8-inc Chocolate chip cookies (soft and chewy) Preheat oven to 350F . In a small bowl, whisk together flour and baking
soda; set aside. In a bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle,
combine the butter and sugars; beat on medium speed until light and
fluffly. Reduce speed to low; add the sa Aggression cookies "When I was a student at the University of Missouri, I spent a semester
working in a preschool. That's where I discovered Aggression Cookies, a
not-so-unique cookie with a unique name. These cookies, I discovered, offer
