Maui Onion soup



Ingredients:
5 maui onions; thinly sliced
2 clove garlic; minced
1 Cup(s) merlot
160 Tablespoon(s) water
6 Tablespoon(s) olive oil
5 packets beef bouillon
2 packets chicken bouillon
1 packet spices (pepper, thyme, garlic, herb
8 Tablespoon(s) parmesan cheese; grated
5 Slice(s) swiss cheese
1 Package(s) parmesan croutons
Directions: Heat olive oil in large soup pot. Add onions and garlic. Saute until golden. Add water, bouillon packets, spices and wine. cook on low heat for 1 hour. Divide soup into 5 oven proof soup bowls. Top each with parmesan croutons, a slice of swiss cheese and a sprinkling of parmesan. Broil until cheese is melted and slightly browned.
