Cranberry/wild rice stuffing 1 c Water
1/4 c Raisins, dark or golden
5 x Green Onions, chopped
1 tb Vegetable Oil
1/2 c Celery, chopped
1 c Cranberries, fresh or frozen
1 ts Orange Rind, grated
1/2 ts Dried Thyme
Put the wild rice in a saucepan. Add th Chicken, fried w/ bbq sauce and flat bread prepare batter recipe, stick in the refrigerator the night before

add chicken set aside
prepare bbq sauce start simmering
preheat deep fryer
preheat griddle
cut up chicken into small strips about 1" wide
brush off any excess salt
dip in Brown rice with pine nuts 1. Soak brown rice in water at least 2 hours, or overnight.

but 2-3 tablespoons of drippings; cook onion until tender. Stir in flour;
blend well. Add vinegar and water; cook and stir until bubbly and slightly
thick. Add sugar and Turkey-rice bake In skillet, brown rice in margarine, stirring constantly. Place in
casserole

and 1 1/3 c of water, mixing well. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 20 to 25
minutes or until rice is Roasted tomato and rice salad Roast the tomatoes over the high flame of a gas range or a broiler. Turn
every 20 seconds, so skins blister evenly. Peel by running under cold water
and rubbing with your fingers. Chop the tomatoes coarsely and toss with
warm rice. Mix the dre Wild rice with toasted almonds and dried cherry This goes well with Duck.
Soak dried cherries in water, apple juice, brandy or any type of liquor for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Chop cherries and toasted almonds a bit.
Simmer wild rice with cherries for 45-60 minutes in lightly salted water, until Crusty chili-spiced "fried" chicken 1. Spray large baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
2. In food processor, combine bread cubes, lime peel, chili powder, garlic powder and coriander; process until crumbly.

Garden turkey & rice salad Combine first eight ingredients in medium bowl. Combine Italian dressing
and lemon juice. Pour dressing over salad; mix well. Refrigerate until
ready to serve. Makes 3 servings.
Baked rice with green chiles * Use 2 4-oz cans of chopped green chiles which have been drained.
Heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Mix all the ingredients in an
ungreased 2-quart casserole. Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes, or
until done.

Microwave directions: In a 1-quart microwave-safe casserole, microcook the
green pep Brown rice pudding Cook rice as usual, but replace 6 Tbsp. water with 6 Tbsp. juice
concentrate.

Fried turkey breast Slice turkey cross-grain in 1/4 inch thick slices. Season with salt and
pepper. Roll in flour. Deep fry in hot fat until lightly browned. Serves
4 to 6.

saucepan over medium heat about 5 minutes or until onion is tender. Stir in
water, raisins, bouillon granules, mustard and pepper. Heat to boiling;
reduce heat. Cover and simme Brown rice & wheat berries (vegan) In 2qt pan, boil water. Add berries, return to boil.
Reduce heat, simmer, covered, 1 hour. Stir in brown
rice. Cover, simmer 50 minutes longer. 5 minutes
before rice is finished, saute scallion until
softened. Combi ne with rice and wheat mi Baked shrimp-rice salad Combine first 7 ingredients in a mixing bowl; mix well. Combine next 3
ingredients; stir well. Pour over shrimp mixture; toss gently. Spoon into
a lighlty greased 1-quart shallow baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 20
minutes.
SOURCE: So Alisa's mexican rice Saute the rice, onion & garlic in a little oil until the onion is soft. Put
the tomatoes in a big measuring cup and squish them into pieces. You need
about 3-1/2 cups of liquid, so add water to the tomatoes til you get this
amount. Bring to Wild rice meat loaf Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, mix well. Firmly press into a greased 9x5x3" loaf pan. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 70 min. Cover with foil during the last 15 minutes if the top is browning too quickly.
Yield: 4-6 servings.
Brown rice chicken bake Combine rice, peas, chicken, mayonnaise, almonds, soy sauce, and seasonings in bowl. Transfer to a 3 quart baking dish coated with cooking spray. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
