Ingredients:
3 Pound(s) garlic
137/4377 Quart(s) olive oil
1/2 finely chopped onion
28 italian-style diced tomatoes
2 bay leaves
1 Ounce(s) white cooking wine
163/5000 Pound(s) sugar
1 Ounce(s) basil
Directions: Saute 2-3 large cloves of garlic in @ 3tablespoons of olive oil...after about a minute or so, add @ 1/2 small onion finely chopped. Saute until garlic is golden blond color and garlic is transparent. Add one 28 oz can of crushed italian tomatoes with puree added. Or just use Progresso crushed italian toms. you can crush some fennel (1 tsp) in a mortar and pestle and add that or not...adds nice flavor...add two bay leaves, a dash of white wine if you have it...and 1 tbsp of sugar. simmer for about 20 minutes. Add some fresh basil or dry basil--2 tbsp-- and serve over anything worth eating. if you are going to add meat, saute that first and remove from pot.
