Directions: 1. Slice the meat pieces, 1cm thick. Add sliced onions, and the rest of the ingredients, except apples. Leave to marinate for 15 min.
2. Layer in a baking dish. Top with sliced apples. Roast in a pre-heated oven for 45 min at 250C / 380F.
Comments: Only Russians give their dishes such romantic names. However, the dish is really easy to make, very impressive in both taste and presentation. The combination of meat and tart apples is unexpectedly great. I made it with chicken breast, but will try beef next time. The original recipe calls for pork or turkey fillet.

Good eats roast turkey Combine all brine ingredients, except ice water, in a stock pot and bring to a boil. Stir to dissolve solids, then remove from heat, cool to room temperature refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
