Mexican red rice Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Heat the oil in a medium heavy saucepan or skillet over medium low heat. Saute the rice, stirring constantly, until golden and crackling, about 5 minutes.
Add the onions and Serranos and cook until the onions just soften. Mexican-style chicken Pat the chicken dry using paper towels.
Heat the oil in a skillet and saute the onions until tender. Stir in the
olives, tomatoes, celery, garlic, bay leaves, water, capers, oregano, salt

till almost tender.
Blend together the beans, a small amount of the liquid from cooking them
(about 1/4 cup), the tomato paste, the spices, and the shoyu or tamari in Mexican deviled eggs Cut the eggs lengthwise into halves. Slip out the yolks and mash with a
fork. Mix the mashed yolks with the mayonnaise, cumin, capers, mustard,
salt and the jalapeno pepper. Fill the egg whites with the egg yolk
