Herbed New Potatoes w. Vermouth



Ingredients:
1 1/2 Pound(s) small new potatoes
2 Tablespoon(s) unsalted butter
2 vermouth
2 finely chopped chives
1 finley chopped mint
1/4 salt
1/8 Teaspoon(s) white pepper
Directions: Scrub the potatoes and peel, if desired, or just peel a ring around the center for a more decorative look. Put in the top of a steamer over boiling water. Cover and steam until tender, 15-20 minutes. Heat the remaining ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat until the butter is melted. Taste for seasoning. Transfer the potatoes to a serving bowl and pour the vermouth herb butter over. Serve immediately. To prepare in advance, melt the butter and hold the potatoes in a skillet over low heat. Stir in vermouth and seasonings when ready to serve.
