Directions: Combine all ingredients except green beans. Cover and simmer 15
minutes; uncover last few minutes and allow to simmer until sauce is
thick.
Meanwhile, wash and tip fresh green beans (allow frozen beans to
defrost partially). Arrange beans on rack over simmering water;
cover and steam 4 to 5 minutes.
To serve, spoon tomato sauce over hot steamed green beans
immediately before serving. (Don't cook green beans in tomato sauce,
their color will turn drab.) Makes 4 servings, about 45 calories
each.
