drain thoroughly and set aside while you prepare the filling. In a heavy
skillet heat the clarified butter, add the chopped onions and cook until
soft and transparent. Add t Dolma ici zeytinyagli (rice stuffing) This stuffing is for eggplants, pepper, tomatoes and zucchini. It is made
with olive oil and served as a cold vegetable dish.
Slice onion very finely, skin and roughly chop tomato and wash the rice
until the water runs clear. Heat the olive oil in Wild rice and mushrooms Heat oven to 350F degrees. Grease 1 1/2-quart casserole. Melt margarine
in large skillet over medium heat. Add mushrooms and almonds; cook and

Season with salt and pepper. Deglaze with wine and reduce until nearly dry. Check for seasoning and lay mushrooms on a tray to cool completely.
In a large bowl, Smoked acorn squash and wild rice bisque If desired, smoke 4 of the squash halves for 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 350F. Line shallow baking pan with foil.
Remove squash from smoker. Arrange with remaining squash halves, cut side down, in pan.

4. Mix in 4 C. Cooked Chil-beer brisket of beef over wild rice amadine Place beef brisket, fat side down, in deep roasting pan. Sprinkle brisket
with onion, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Pour chili sauce over
brisket. Cover tightly and cook in slow oven (325 degrees F.) for 3
hours. Pour beer over brisket. Increase ov Wild rice with toasted almonds and dried cherry This goes well with Duck.
Soak dried cherries in water, apple juice, brandy or any type of liquor for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Chop cherries and toasted almonds a bit.
Simmer wild rice with cherries for 45-60 minutes in lightly salted water, un Wild rice and orzo with toasted walnuts In a large saucepan combine rice with water and salt and simmer, covered, until tender, 40 to 45 minutes. Drain rice well and transfer to a large bowl. Toss rice with 2 tablespoons oil.
In a saucepan of boiling salted water cook orzo until al dente. Rinse Spicy rice & vegetables Saute vegetables in butter and honey. Add rice and continue to saute until
onions are clear. Add water, and boil 5 minutes. Turn heat to low; let
rice absorb water, about 35 minutes. In last 5 minutes of cooking, add
apple and almonds.
Chicken/avacado rice salad (pjxg05a) Refrigerate cooked rice until cold. Peel the avacado and slice
lengthwise into 1/2 inch-thick strips. Coat with lemon juice, and
refrigerate until well chilled. In a large mixing bowl, combine the

Red beans & rice with salsa Pick over and rinse the beans. Put them into a large bowl and cover
completely with cold water. Let the beans soak overnight (or for at least
8 hours).
Drain the beans and transfer them to a large pot. Add the 3 cups water.
Bring to a boi Confetti rice 1. Place rice, vegetables and broth in a small pot with tight-fitting lid.
2. Bring to a boil over high heat, cover tightly and reduce heat to medium low; cook for about 18-20 minutes, or until water has been absorbed and rice is tender, but not mushy.
Nu Dilled meatballs over rice In medium mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except gravy and hot rice.
Blend with hands and shape into 20 meatballs. Arrange meatballs in 10"
glass pie plate. Cover loosely with wax paper. Microwave 4 to 5 minutes,
re-arranging meatba Brown rice and chicken Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Cook on low 6 to 8 hours or on automatic 4 to 5 hours. Serve with sliced almonds lightly toasted.
Brown rice and chopped meat Heat fat in skillet, add rice, onion, tomatoes and salt. Cover skillet and cook over low heat for 45-50 minutes or until rice is tender. Stir in cooked meat and cook until meat is heated through.
