Directions: Preheat oven to 375F degrees. Lightly butter a large shallow baking dish. Peel the pears, cut in half lengthways and remove cores. Arrange, cut sides down, in a single layer in baking dish. Mix together the cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger and pour over pears. Bake for 30-35 minutes, basting occasionally, until pears are tender and browned on top and the cream is thick and bubbly. Cool slightly before serving.
