Ingredients: -1 1/4 Cup(s) chopped walnuts or pecans 1/4 Cup(s) packed light brown sugar 2 Tablespoon(s) raisin 1/4 Teaspoon(s) ground allspice 4 cored tart apples 2 Tablespoon(s) (optional) rum 1 vanilla ice cream |
Directions: 1. Prepare grill to medium. Cut 4 squares of heavy-duty foil, 9-inches wide. Grease all foil squares with 1 tablespoon of the buter. Combine nuts, brown sugar, raisins, cinnamon and allspice in medium mixing bowl.
2. Evenly divide nut mixture among apples placing in hollow centers, about 2 tablespoons per apple. Top each with 1 1/2 teaspoons of the remaining butter. Fold up edges of foil around apples to make a tight package.
3. Place foil package on grill; grill until apples are tender when pierced with fork, 20 to 25 minutes. Be careful not to overcook. Rotate on grate to ensure even cooking.
4. Carefully remove from foil; pour 1 1/2 teaspoons of rum over top of each, if desired. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
