Directions: Dip container of frozen mix into hot water just to loosen. In Dutch oven,
heat frozen mix, water, lentils, parsley and bay leaf to boiling. Reduce
heat; cover and simmer, stirring frequently, until mix is thawed, about 20
minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients; heat to boiling. Reduce heat; cover
and simmer until vegetables are tender, about 20 minutes. Remove bay leaf.

about five minutes. Add the stock, the canned tomatoes, the herbs, salt and
pepper, the lentils and the German lentil soup with frankfurters Saute onions, garlic, carrots, and celery in heated
oil in a large kettle for 5 minutes. Add water,
lentils, bay leaf, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
Lower heat and cook slowly, covered, about 30 minutes,
