Directions: Saute cumin seeds in oil until they begin to pop. Add asafetida, chili,
shallots, turmeric and gingerroot. Saute until shallots are soft, about 3
minutes.
Add carrots, broth and coriander.
Cover and simmer until carrots are tender and liquid is absorbed or
evaporated, about 10 minutes.
Stir in dill, cover and refrigerate for at least one hour.
Stir in rice and mayonnaise.
Chill until ready to serve.

1. In a medium-sized bowl, mix flour, salt, and paprika. Coat the
chicken with the flour, shaking off the excess. Reserve the flour

In saucepan, combine tomato soup, oil, sugar, vinegar, mustard and
Worcestershire. Heat until boiling. Pour over carrots, pepper and

Dilled asparagus Place drained asparagus spears in a flat casserole dish with a cover.
Mix olive oil, pickle liquid, pickles, and garlic; pour over the
asparagus. cover and let marinate for at least 1 hour before serving;
drain. Serve on lettuce.
