Directions: * 4 ounces butter, softened * 1/2 cup shortening * 1 cup granulated sugar Beat till very fluffy! Then add: * 3 tablespoons flour - 1 tablespoon at a time * 2/3 cup milk, room temperature * 1 teaspoon vanilla Beat hard and long at high speed until very smooth and creamy and the gritty texture is gone. Trust me! You'll never make another frosting again. My sons are 37 and 40 and still request this cake and frosting. My grandkids are following suit.
