Wilton buttercream icing (double batch) (all) Mix the shortening, vanilla, butter extract and water in a standing mixer
bowl.
In a separate bowl, combine 2lb. powdered sugar and 2tbsp. Wilton Meringue
Powder.
Add dry ingredients to standing mixer.
Mix on medium speed until creamy.
Description:
Apple cake with icing Mix all cake ingredients together and pour into 9 x 13-inch oblong pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 45 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean
when inserted in center of cake.
Cook icing ingredients in small saucepan 2 1/2 minutes and pour over warm

• 1-16 oz. powdered sugar
• 1 pkg.-8 oz. cream cheese, softened
• ? cup margarine, softened
• 1 t. vanilla
2. Beat until smooth
Royal icing (for gingerbread houses, etc) Beat egg whites in clean, large bowl with mixer at high speed until foamy
(use only grade A clean, uncracked eggs). Gradually add sugar and lemon
extract. Beat at high speed until thickened.
NOTE: When dry, Royal Icing is very hard and resistant to damage Caramel icing #3 Mix 4 cups sugar, evaporated milk & butter in a heavy pan. Begin cooking on
medium heat. In another heavy pan, brown 1/2 cup sugar over medium heat.
Let both come to a boil. (They must be boiling to mix.) Pour browned sugar
slowly into boiling Carrot cake icing Mix together and spread between layers and on top of carrot cake.
Plain coconut icing Cook sugar, corn syrup and water to 248 degrees or until firm ball forms
when tried in cold water.
Add flavoring.
Let cool for 5 to 10 minutes, then poor slowly over the stiffly beaten
egg whites. Beat until it holds its shape.
Spread the layers Wilton stabilized whipped cream icing Combine gelatin and cold water in small saucepan. Let stand until thick. Place over low heat, stirring constantly, just until gelatin dissolves. Remove from heat and cool, do not let set. Whip cream, sugar and vanilla until slightly thickened. While beati Chocolate icing Cook all ingredients together, except vanilla and butter, until soft ball
stage.
Remove from fire, add vanilla and butter, beat and spread.

Bakery icing (juliette pastirjak) Cook milk and flour till thickens, let cool completely.
Cream shortening, sugar, salt and vanilla.
Pour cool milk mixture over ingredients and blend.
This lasts for months to use whenever and can be colored if needed. Does
not need to be refrigerated.
Ke Brown sugar boiled icing Boil to-gether sugar and water until soft ball forms when tested in small amount of cold water. Beat egg whites stiff and gradually add syrup in a steady stream beating constantly, until frosting holds shape.Add salt and vanilla.
Butter cream icing Cream butter and shortening
Add vanilla and sugar
Add milk after creamed
Carrot pecan cake icing While at room temperature, blend together butter and cream cheese. Slowly
blend in confectioners sugar; add vanilla., coconut and pecans. Mixing
well. Frost the cake.
Icing, cream cheese work until fluffy cream cheese and milk

bowl. In saucepan melt butter, shortening, cocoa & water & bring to a rapid
boil. Pour this mixture over the flour mixture & stir well. Add beaten

Shirlie's pound cake icing Blend all ingredients together and pour over cake.

Caramel icing #1 Heat milk and 2 cups sugar with butter. Cool slightly and add beaten egg.
Melt 1/2 cup sugar in iron skillet slowly until brown and runny. Turn heat
to medium on first mixture; add browned sugar and cook 10 minutes. Remove
from heat; cool slightly Chocolate cookies with icing Cream brown sugar, granulated sugar and shortening. Beat in 1 tsp. vanilla and egg. Combine the flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and 3 Tbs. cocoa and add alternately with 1 cup milk to creamed mixture. Drop by spoonful onto greased cookie sheet Fruit cocktail cake icing Cook sugar, oleo, and milk until thick. Remove from heat and add pecans
and coconut. Pour over hot cake.
Burnt sugar icing Caramelize 1/2 cup sugar. Add boiling water. Stir until dissolved. Add
butter, milk, salt, and remainder of sugar. Boil to soft ball stage (236
F). Cool to room temperature. Add flavoring. Beat until thick and creamy.
Spread on cake.
Brown sugar icing #1 Mix brown sugar, oleo and evaporated milk.
Bring to a boil and cook 6 minutes, stirring often.
Put powdered sugar and vanilla in mixing bowl and pour hot mixture over
it, beat rapidly until stiff.
Spread on top of cake.
Decorate with pecan halves and 14 layer choclate cake - icing Cast iron skillet preferred.
Place over low heat until all dissolved.
Do NOT let boil, but be sure all sugar is
melted so icing will be creamy and smooth.
Lemon icing Place butter, lemon juice and half the lemon rind in a small bowl. Microwave for 1/2 minute. Sift and stir in the icing sugar and beat until smoothe.
Drizzle the icing over your cake and sprinkle the remaining lemon rind over the top.
Afghans w/ chocolate icing Afghans: Soften butter, add sugar and beat to a cream, add flour, cocoa and
lastly corn flakes. Put spoonfulls on a greased oven tray and bake about 15
minutes at 180 degrees C (350 F). When cold, ice with chocolate icing and
put walnuts on top Busy day cocoa icing In small bowl, stir together butter and water until butter is melted. Add
cocoa and vanilla; beat until well blended. Gradually add powdered sugar,
beating until smooth, creamy and of spreading consistency. Add additional
water, if necessary. About Boiled icing #1 Boil butter, milk and sugar for 1 minute. Add coconut and nuts.
Pour over cake and brown lightly in oven.

cook about 3 minutes or until steam has washed down any crystals that may
have formed on pan. Uncover and cook without stirring to 238-240 degrees.

with waxed paper. Grease paper, and flour insides of pans. Com- bine flour
and baking powder in bowl.

spray. Combine both chocolates and butter in heavy small saucepan. Stir
over low heat until melted an Caramel icing #4 Turn on stove burner. As it heats, stir the brown sugar and cream in a
heavy pan until the sugar is dissolved. Cover and cook about 3 minutes or
until the steam has washed down any crystals that may have formed on the
sides of the pan. Uncover an Broiled icing Mix all ingredients together and spread over cake while it is still warm.
Broil until it bubbles all over and becomes brown.
Vanilla butter icing In 1 quart bowl beat butter until fluffy.
Beat in sugar and vanilla.
Gradually beat in milk to make an icing of thick spreading consistency.

Cocoa butter icing Sift sugar, add cocoa and mix well, add softened butter - cream well.
Add 1/4 cup boiling water to instant coffee. Add coffee to creamed
mixture and blend thoroughly. Ice only after cake is totally cold.
