Slow-cooked flank steak In a skillet, brown steak in oil; transfer to a slow cooker. In the same
skillet, saute onion for 1 minute. Gradually add water, stirring to loosen
browned bits from pan. Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Pour
over the flank steak. Cover Butter cream frosting Combine water, dry milk and flour in a pan, and stir until smooth. cook,
stirring constantly, over medium heat until mixture is thick and smooth, or
cook in a microwave oven for 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Place

Slo-cooked chili Brown chop meat, mix all ingredients and put in slow cooker to hours.
Cooked cranberry-orange relish 1 lb Whole cranberries

1 c Granulated sugar
PICK OVER THE CRANBERRIES and wash the orange. Zest the orange, making
certain not to take in any of the bitter white pith. Juice the orange Devil's food cake with fudge frosting PREHEAT THE OVEN TO 350F. Grease two 8-inch layer cake pans well, then dust
then generously with cocoa. (This gives the cake layers a rich brown
finish). Sift the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt onto a piece of waxed
paper and set it aside. Cream Brown sugar frosting 1. Combine brown sugar, butter or margarine, and water. heat to boiling, cook 1 minute.
2. Remove from heat, pour into mixer bowl.
3. Sift together milk and powdered sugar, add slowly to cooked mixture while beating at low speed.
4. Add vanilla, mix a Broiler fudge frosting Creme butter, brown sugar and cocoa until fluffy add creme. Stir in chopped nuts. Spread lightly over a cake after it has cooled in pan 10 to 15 minutes.
Place cake in broiler with top of frosting about 4-inches away from heat source. Broil about 1 min French vanilla ice cream (cooked) (b only) In small mixing bowl beat egg until foamy. Reserve.
In a small sauce pan combine flour, sugar and salt.
Gradually stir in 1 cup of cream.

garlic and a pinch of salt and sugar, for 15 minutes. Drain and chill. Just
before serving, cover with lemon juice, aobut 1/4 teaspoon salt, cayenne
and cumin. Sprinkle with ch Coconut-pecan frosting Combine milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter, and vanilla in a saucepan. Cook
and stir over medium heat until thickened, about 12 minutes.
Add coconut and pecans. Cool until thick enough to spread; beat
occasionally.
Makes 2 1/2 cups

flame until it melts and becomes straw colored. Remove from fire. Add
boiling water carefully as it splatters. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Cream butter until soft. Add 1/2 cup Slow cooked chili In a skillet, brown beef, drain. Transfer to a slow cooker. Add the next 9
ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high 4-4 1/2 hours.
Garnish individual servings with cheese if desired.

2. Stir in vanilla and milk.
3. Beat until smooth.
4. Add poppy seeds.
Quick chocolate frosting Sift sugar and cocoa together in a medium bowl. Whisk in butter, milk, and
vanilla until smooth. Use immediately.

Slow -cooked chicken fried chops Combine flour, salt, mustard and garlic powder in a bowl or plastic bag; dredge pork chops. In a skillet, brown the chops on both sides in oil. Place in slow cooker. Combine soup and water; pour over chops. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until Ayam tauco (chicken cooked with salted yellow beans) This recipe calls for 'tauco' which can be either salted black beans
or salted yellow beans. Either can be found in a Chinese market as
salted black bean or salted yellow bean sauce. Or you can track down
Indonesian salted yellow beans Cooked wild rice Put the wild rice and water in a small sauce pan. Bring the water to a
boil, then reduce the heat to a bare simmer, cover and cook until the rice
is tender, 1 to 1 1/4 hours. While the rice is cooking, saute the bacon
until golden brown and crisp, then Smooth-as-silk frosting Sprinkle gelatin over water in saucepan; allow to soften for 5 minutes.
Bring to a boil. Add brown sugar replacement and stir to disolve. Remove
from heat; cool to the consistancy of thin syrup. Beating constantly, pour
syrup in a thin stream Broth cooked orzo with lemon and parsley Bring the stock to a boil. Add the pasta & cook until *al dente*. Drain & reserve the stock for future use. Toss the orzo with the olive oil & garlic. Season with the lemon juice, parsley, salt & pepper. Serve immediately.
Slow cooked coffee beef roast In a large nonstick skillet, brown a roast over medium-high heat on all sides in oil. Transfer roast to slow cooker.
