Ingredients: 1 confectioners' sugar 1 1/4 Cup(s) guinness stout 6 Ounce(s) cocoa powder 3/4 Cup(s) all-purpose flour 6 Tablespoon(s) butter, unsalted 4 Ounce(s) chocolate, white 8 Ounce(s) chocolate, bittersweet 3/4 Cup(s) superfine granulated sugar 4 large eggs |
Directions: Preheat oven to 375F
Butter 8" square baking pan
1. In an electric mixer, combine eggs and sugar. Beat until light and fluffy.
2. Chop all chocolate. Melt together bittersweet chocolate, white chocolate, and butter. [Easiest method: Place all bittersweet and 4 TBS of butter in microwave dish. Heat about 2 minutes at 50% power. Add remaining butter and white chocolate and heat another 2 minutes at 50%]
3. Beat melted chocolate into egg mixture.
4. Sift together flour and cocoa powder and beat into chocolate mixture.
5. Whisk in Guinness Stout.
6. Drink any remaining stout, if you haven't done so already.
7. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes. (Actual recipe calls for 20-25, but it took us far longer)
Remove from oven and let cool while you enjoy another Guinness.
Serving: Recommend dusting with confectioners'
sugar after pouring a nice chocolate sauce over each serving... and/or top with some whipped cream.
