Directions: Cream brown sugar, granulated sugar and shortening. Beat in 1 tsp. vanilla and egg. Combine the flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and 3 Tbs. cocoa and add alternately with 1 cup milk to creamed mixture. Drop by spoonful onto greased cookie sheet (1/2 tsp for 2 inch cookies), 1 tsp for 2 1/2 inch cookies). Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool on rack, frost when cool. For Icing: Beat butter, confectioners' sugar, 2 Tbs cocoa, hot coffee and 1 tsp vanilla. Spread on cookies and allow to set.
