Cheese Biscuits



Ingredients:
326/625 Pound(s) flour
2 Ounce(s) shortening
1 soy powder
1/3 Ounce(s) baking powder
27/10000 Pound(s) baking soda
1/6 Ounce(s) salt
1/4 Quart(s) buttermilk
1 extra old - grated cheddar cheese old
Directions: Cut shortening into dry ingredients with a pastry blender until it looks like crumbs. Add buttermilk. Add cheese. Cook on ungreased cookie sheet in a 450* oven for 10-12 minutes. (but we all know my oven is whacked so if that doesn't work pleeeease don't form a mob and decapitate me) I made them into drop biscuits, they were about an inch (maybe inch and a half) in diameter (i.e. before baking them). I think I added a bit more cheese than that. The last recipe I did with soy powder the taste of it came through. The cheese helps mask the beany taste.
