Ingredients:
3 fl oz milk
2 Cup(s) Diced cooked ham
1 Tablespoon(s) Brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 Teaspoon(s) Allspice (up to 1)
1/2 teaspoon mixed spice
1/4 Cup(s) Orange marmalade
2 Tablespoon(s) Fresh lemon juice
1 heaped teaspoon ground ginger
1 salt
2 Can(s) (15 oz.) black beans,drained
1 Can(s) (16 oz.) whole tomatoes
4 oz wholemeal plan flour
1 Can(s) (4.5 oz.) chopped green chili
4 oz wholemeal self raising flour
1 Banana, sliced
2 egg(s)
1 tablespoon golden syrup
1 Tablespoon(s) Chopped cilantro
1 tablespoon black treacle/molasses
3 ozs demerara sugar
Directions: In a large saucepan combine all chili ingredients. Cook over medium-high heat for 10 to 12 minutes or until chili is thoroughly heated and flavors are blended, stirring occasionally. In a small bowl, combine banana slices with lemon juice; toss to coat. Top each serving of chili with banana slices and cilantro. 4 (1-1/2 cup) servings.
