Directions: Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the sugar, water and corn syrup. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring. When the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to boil, raise the heat and bring the mixture to 290 on a cooking thermometer. It will be light brown in color and syrup will separate into threads that are not brittle when dribbled into cold water. Quickly stir in 1/2 cup chopped almonds. Immediately pour the mixture onto an ungreased baking sheet. Wait 2-3 minutes for the candy surface to firm, then sprinkle on the chocolate chips. IN a few minutes, when the chips have softened, spread the chocolate evenly over the surface. Sprinkle the remaining almonds over the melted chocolated.When the chocolate hardens, crack the candy into pieces, store covered. NOTE: Heath bar or hersheys. These two candy bars are very similar, and both are composed of ingredients similar to those in ALmond roca. One obvious difference is that thre are no almonds on top of these bars. To make these candy bars, simply follow the directions for almond roca but omit the nuts.

Brown rice is the whole grain which retains a natural coating of bran.
This rice bran can be an important weapon in the fight against
cholesterol. Research has shown rice bran to be effective in lowering

2. Preheat oven to 425 F. In large bowl, mix sugars, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Add apples, toss lightly to combine. Turn apple mixture into pastry Brown and serve chicken Place chicken in a baking dish. Combine suagr, margarine and garlic salt. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes. After 15 minutes, turn chicken and baste with sauce. Serve with rice.
Brown rice and vegetable salad #2 Toss all of the salad ingredients together. Mix the dressing ingredients first, and then add to the salad. Toss to mix. Best served chilled, but was actually pretty good warm. Very colorful, and would probably make a great main dish for folks who limit Almond roca Melt butter over high heat. Add sugar, stirring until it foams up well. Continue over high heat, adding almonds. Continue to cook, stirring continually until mixture is color of mahogany and sugar is all melted. (Take it off the heat for a moment if it Almond eggplants with chili sauce Peel & finely chop the onion. Remove the stem & seeds from the

7. Form into 16 in. oval roll Chocolate brown sugar cookies Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Cream together the butter and the
brown sugar, add egg and vanilla. Mix well. Add honey.
Measure flour and baking soda (I usually just mix the soda in with the
flour.) Add flour and soda to batter a little at a time and mix Beef with brown rice and feta casserole Put the dried mushrooms in 1/2 cup hot water and let stand 20 minutes.
Saute the onion in the oil slowly for 5 minutes, then add the tomatoes and
garlic, and let cook gently uncovered about 10 minutes. Pepper to taste,
then add the dried mushroom Brown rice salad In a heavy casserole, heat the oil over moderate heat. Add the rice and
saute for about 5 minutes or until the rice begins to darken; stir often.
Stir in the vegetable stock, cover the pan and reduce the heat to low.
Simmer until the liquid is Crunchy almond asparagus Wash and cut Asparagus into ¾ inch pieces – cook in 1 cup lightly salted water until tender-crisp – drain and reserve liquid.
Combine seasoned crumbs and cheese, set aside.
Combine soup and reserved Asparagus juice – mix well.
Layer half of crumb m Almond paste 1 1/3 c Powdered Sugar
2 tb Water
1/2 ts Almond Extract
Toast almonds on baking sheet at 300 oF for 10 min. DO NOT BROWN!!! Cool
them for 5 min.
Procerss the almonds 1 min. Add sugar, water, and extract and process 15
sec. to form a City ham (alton brown) Ham in natural juices.
Use a utility knife to slice around ham and create diagonal pattern.
Place the ham on a towel in a roasting pan (to drain fat).
Tent with foil. Bake 250F 3-4 hours until 130F.
Pull off crust/rind from the outside of the ham.
Layer Brown sugar banana muffins To make the topping, stir together the brown sugar and wheat germ and set aside. Combine the flour, brown sugar and baking powder and stir to mix well. Add the banana, skim milk, vanilla extract and egg whites and stir just until the dry ingredients are Creamy brown rice pudding Bring 1 cup of the milk to a boil in medium saucepan. Stir in rice.
Return to a full boil. Cover; reduce heat. Simmer 5 minutes. Stir in the
remaining 2 cups milk, the pudding mix, raisins and cinnamon. Bring to a
boil over medium heat, stir Chocolate chip cookies (chewy) alton brown Cream butter and sugars. Add egg and yolk, milk and vanilla. Sift dry
ingredients and add to wet ingredients. Add chocolate chips.
Chill batter. Scoop and bake at 375F for 8-10 minutes.
