Brown rice jambalaya I seem to remember you being involved in a conversation about brown
rice a few months back... Here's something that you might find
interesting.
Put ham or bacon in a 4-quart soup kettle and cook over low heat

dome bbq grill until 160F. internal temperature with Brown sugar-pecan cookies Beat butter at medium speep with an electirc mixer, gradually add sugars, mixing well. Add egg and vanilla, beat well. Combine flour, soda, and salt; gradually adding to creamed mixture, mixing after each addition. Stir in pecans. Chill dough for 30 minut Marinated antipasto In a medium saucepan, bring 1/2 cup water to a boil. Add carrots; cover
and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes or until carrots are crisp-tender.
Drain; rinse with cold water to cool.
In a small bowl or jar with tight-fitting lid, combine oil, vi Lentejas en adobo (lentils with chilies, pork and fruit) Serves 4 to 6

Run the lentils through your hands to make sure there are no stones or
other foreign bodies in them. Rinse them in two changes of water and put
into a pan. Add onion, salt to taste, and enough water to come about 2
Broiled sake-marinated chilean sea bass in shiso broth 1. In a shallow glass dish or stainless-steel pan, combine 1/2 cup of the soy sauce, 4 tablespoons of the mirin, the sake, 6 tablespoons of the sugar, 3/4 teaspoon of the ginger and 3/4 teaspoon of the garlic. Add the fish fillets and arrange them so that Pot roast with winter vegetables PREHEAT oven to 325°F. Brown meat in hot oil in large skillet on medium heat. Place in large roasting pan. in a skillet. Add the chops and cook them for 6-7 minutes on each side until

Sprinkle assorted fillings into pie shell. Pour cream mixture slowly over
ingredients.
Bake for 35-45 minutes.

Roast turkey with wild rice stuffing. Prepare wild rice as per directions on package, dissolving 3 tsp. bouillon
in water before adding rice. Preheat oven to 325 deg.F. In medium
skillet, cook celery and green pepper in butter until tender. Dissolve
the remaining bouillon in hot water. Wintry brown rice chili Heat oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion, bell pepper,
celery and garlic. Cook, stirring, for 7 minutes. Stir in tomatoes, beans,
corn, water, rice and seasonings, bring to a simmer. Cover and cook over
medium-low heat until Brown sugar pudding Bring sauce to a boil. Put dumplings in boiling sauce. Bake about 20 or 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
Pork stew with cornmeal dumplings Cut pork into 1" cubes. In a large skillet brown pork and garlic in hot
oil. Drain well.
Meanwhile, in crockpot combine carrots, potatoes, water, tapioca, sugar,
worcestershire sauce, bay leaves, thyme, salt, nutmeg, and pepper. Stir
in Brown rice and cranberry pilaf Bring broth, orange juice and sugar to boil. Stir in rice and cranberries. Return to boil. Reduce heat, cover. Simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Stir in almonds. Makes 2 1/2 cups.
Brown sugar-balsamic glazed oranges Peel oranges and cut each crosswise into 1/4" thick slices. Divide oranges evenly between 2 plates. Combine brown sugar and vinegar and drizzle mixture over oranges. Cover and marinate in refrigerator 2 hours.
