163/2500 Pound(s) corn starch
1/2 salt, onion
1 Pound(s) minced garlic
1 Ounce(s) soy sauce
33/100 Can(s) juice, grape
2 Cup(s) water
2 Pound(s) beef stew meat
2 bouillon, beef
1 Ounce(s) shortening
Directions: Melt shortening in large skillet. Brown meat on all sides. Stir in boullion, 1 1/2 cups water, juice,soy sauce, onion and garlic salt. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until meat is tender, about an hour. Blend remaining water and cornstarch and gradually stir into meat mixture until it thickens and boils. Boil and stir one minute. Serve over rice. Optional ingredients: Replace grape juice with cranberry juice or apple juice. Use fresh diced onion to taste instead of salt. Adjust salt to taste. Optional: Combine first 7 ingredients in crock pot and cook on low till meat is tender (all day). Add cornstarch and water mixture and let boil one minute before serving.
