Ingredients:
1/6 Ounce(s) baking powder
2 egg
1 71/86 Pound(s) flour
163/625 Pound(s) (1 stick) butter
326/625 Pound(s) sugar
Directions: Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, flour and baking powder. For Orange-Almond Biscotti, add in the orange peel and slivered almonds. For Cinnimon Biscotti, add in the vanilla extract and cinnimon. This recipe is very flexible. Add in anything you want to flavor it. Can substitute 1/2 c. flour for 1/2 oats to make an Oatmeal Biscotti. Form 1/2 dough into 10 x 3" rectangle on an ungreased cookie sheet. Repe at with 2nd 1/2 of dough. Bake at 350 for ~20 minutes (until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean). Cool on cookie sheet for ~15 min. Cut crosswise in 1/2" slices. Place slices cut side down on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for ~15 min. or until crisp and light brown. Cool on wire rack. If you want to drizzle or drip into chocolate, melt 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips w/ 1 tsp shortening.
