Basic Holiday Cutout Cookies



Ingredients:
1 Cup(s) butter; softened

Directions: In medium bowl. beat butter, sugar, and vanilla until light and creamy. Slowly beat in flour. On lightly floured surface, roll to 1/8-inch thickness. Use star cookie cutters to cut out cookies. Place on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degre es Fahrenheit for 8 to 11 minutes or until edges just begin to brown. Let cool on baking sheets for 10 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
