4 1/2 fresh broccoli
1 (2.8 oz., divided) french fried onions

3 hot, mashed potatoes

Directions: Separate broccoli into florets. In a mixing bowl, combine potatoes, cream cheese, milk, egg, butter, salt and pepper; beat until smooth. Fold in half of the onions. Spread onto the bottom and up the sides of a greased 13 x 9 baking dish, forming a shell. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cook broccoli in a small amount of water until crisp-tender; drain. Place in the potato shell. Sprinkle with cheese and remaining onions. Bake 10 minutes longer. Yield: 8 servings.
