Directions: Optional: chopped onions and peppers; microwave until tender.
Cut bread into cubes.
Cook pasta according to package directions.
Drain and rinse.
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
Blend in flour, salt and pepper; gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens and mixture begins to boil.
Add half the cheese; stir and cook only until cheese has melted.
In a greased 13 x 9 inch baking dish, place pasta and remaining cheese, (onions and peppers); stir cheese sauce into pasta.
In a fry pan, melt 2 T. of butter; add the bread cubes; brown.
Sprinkle bread on top of pasta mixture.
Bake at 350° for about 35 minutes or until bubbly.
