Ingredients: 1 lemon, juice 4 or 5 apple, fresh 1/2 margarine, salted 1/8 salt 1/2 nutmeg 1/2 cinnamon 1/2 sugar, brown, dark 2/3 oatmeal 2/3 flour, white |
Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 375F.
First, prepare the crunchy topping:
2. Mix thogether the flour, oatmeal, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
3. Cut the margarine until it's well spread about set aside.
Now:
4. Slice the apples, or cut in wedges.
5. Place in a 8 inch greased baking dish.
6. Sprinkle brown sugar and lemon juice over the apples.
7. Sprinkle crunchy topping over the mixture.
8. Cook about 30 minutes.
Comments: This recipe could easily accomodate 10 peoples. Use either margarine or applesauce, not both. |
