Sweet onion salad Place the lettuce leaves on four plates, top with slices of onion,
cucumber, and tomato. Drizzle salad with olive oil and a little lemon
juice. Season well with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
NOTE: Any sweet onion can be substituted for the W Alaskan sourdough fruitcake Soak raisins and currants in 1 cup wine overnight. Remove starter from
refrigerator and set, tightly covered, in warm place overnight. It should
be in at least a two cup container as it will just about double its volume
overnight. In the morning, Sourdough pancakes #1 Mix all ingredients well. Be careful not to over mix. Small lumps are ok.
Lightly grease a hot cast iron griddle. Drop onto griddle with a large
spoon while the batter is still rising.
Zwiebelkuchen (onion pie) Mix yeast, sugar, 1 t salt, and 1/2 cup flour. Blend in shortening and
warm water. Beat for 2 minutes. Add enough flour to make a soft dough.
Knead dough until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Place dough in a
lightly greased bowl. Cover and let Red onion omelet In a medium frypan, heat oil. Add onion and saute over medium-high heat
until lightly browned, stirring occasionally. Toward the end of the
cooking time, add sugar, mixing well.
In a medium bowl, beat eggs well; add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and Asparagus crepes with mushroom dill-sauce CREPES: Combine flour & salt in mixing bowl. Make a well in the
centre & pour in the soymilk & oil. Beat till smooth. Heat a 6 or
7-inch skillet. when hot, pour in 1/4 c of batter & tilt skillet till
it's evenly coated. Diced pepper, tomato and onion salad Stem & de-seed the grilled bell pepper. Wash & dice the flesh. Dice the
tomatoes & mix with the peppers. Dice the onions & mix them with the other
ingredients as well. Combine the olive oil, vinegar & garlic. Add salt to
tast Southwestern onion rings Great with barbecued steak and cold beer.
Place buttermilk in large bowl. Add onion rings and toss to coat. Let stand
at room temperature 20 minutes or up to 1 hour, turning onions
occasionally.
Pour enough oil into heavy large saucepan to reach depth of Onion popovers Heat oven to 400F degrees. Coat 12 muffin cups with nonstick spray.
Blend all ingredients except the dried onion in a blender, scraping down
sides 2 or 3 times. Batter will appear soupy.
Stir in onion flakes. Divide evenly among muffin cups.
Bak Dill cucumbers Mix mayonnaise with dill, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Add salt and
pepper to taste. Chill well.
Wash and rinse the cucumbers. Cut into 1/8-inch thick slices and chill in
ice water for an hour. Drain. Serve with dill sauce.
Cheddar dill knots Generously grease cookie sheets. In large bowl, combine flour mixture with yeast from foil packet, cheese and dill; mix well. Stir in 1 cup hot water, butter, 1 T mustard and 1 egg until dough pulls away from sides of bowl. Turn dough out onto lightly f Sourdough pumpernickle Pour boiling coffee over chopped caraway seeds. Let the mixture cool and then add it to the rye flour and starter which have previously been mixed well.
Let stand for 4 to 8 hours in a warm place,
preferabley overnight. Then add the molasses, dry milk, s Red onion marmalade Melt butter in a 2 1/2 quart heavy saucepan over medium heat, then cook
onions, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 8 minutes.
Stir in vinegar, honey, salt and pepper and cook, covered, over low heat,
stirring occasionally, until onion Diabetic onion dip Combine all ingredients. Chill thoroughly. Flaky dill biscuits In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, dill, salt and pepper.
Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
With a fork, stir in eggs and 1/2 cup cream just until moistened.
Drop by 1/4 cupfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet.

Mix the milk and yogurt together in a glass, pottery or plastic
container.(NOT metal) Keep a lid on it, but don't seal it. (sealed starters
have been Lemon dill sole Melt butter in skillet. Add dill and lemon juice. Add sole and cook covered for 5 minutes. Turn fish and finish cooking 2 - 3 minutes.
Anginares a la polita (artichokes with dill sauce) In a large, deep bowl, beat the lemon juice and flour together with a
whisk or spoon, add the water and beat to a smooth thin paste. Set aside.
With a small, sharp knife, trim 1/8 inch off the stem end of each
artichoke and peel the tough outer sk Vidalia onion risotto with feta cheese Heat oil in saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, and
saute 1 minute. Stir in rice. Add 1/2 cup broth; cook until liquid is
nearly absorbed, stirring constantly. Add the remaining broth, 1/2

Chilled garbanzo and potato salad with onion and garlic * small red potatoes, scrubbed and cut into bite-sized pieces
** washed and finely chopped (optional)
First, mix all the stuff together for the dressing in a small bowl or
a measuring cup. Let that sit for at least a few minutes usually,
if Sweet and sour onion salad Put the onions in a pan with the wine vinegar, olive oil, sugar, tomato puree,
herbs, raisins, salt and pepper and 1 1/4 cups water. Bring to a boil and simmer
gently, uncovered, for 45 minutes or until the onions are tender and most of the
liquid Onion sauce 1.Put onions, unpeeled, on a plate, cover with wet papertowl and cook
in Microivave on HIGH for 8 minutes.Cool and peel. 2.Heat bones at

Chilled chicken with dill sauce * 8 (4 oz) boneless chicken breast halves, skinned Trim excess fat
from chicken. Place each piece between 2 sheets of waxed paper;
flatten to 1/4" thickness, using a meat mallet or rolling pin. Place
chicken in 13x9x2" baking dish. Comb Tomato and green onion rice Heat olive oil in a heavy small saucepan over medium-high heat. Add rice and stir until rice is coated with oil and slightly translucent,
about 2 minutes. Add chicken broth and bring to simmer. Reduce heat to low, cover saucepan and cook until broth is Tomato onion quiche 1. Preheat oven to 425F. Place tomatoes in a collander and sprinkle
with salt to "sweat" the excess moisture. For 15-20 minutes.

2. Mix the cheese with the garlic in a bowl. Place 1 1/2 cups of
cheese/garlic mix on t Schweinekotelett in zweibelsosse (pork chops in onion sauce) Season pork chops with salt and pepper; coat with flour. Heat oil in a heavy fry pan. Add pork chops; fry for 3 minutes on each side. Add onions; cook for another 5 minutes, turning chops once. Pour in beer and beef broth; cover and simmer 15 minutes. A dilly-of-an-onion bread (abm) Follow manufacturer's instructions for placing ingredients into bread pan;
select bake cycle, and start machine. Yield: 1 (1 3/4-pound) loaf, 14
servings.

Mix the oats, flours, cheese and a pinch each of salt, paprika and cayenne. Cut then rub in the fat, bind with water and leave out to rest.
Peel, quarter and slice the onions wafer thin. German onion cake In a medium skillet, saute teh onions in butter over low heat until they just begin to brown, about 15 minutes. Season with 1/4 teaspoon of teh salt, the marjoram, and the pepper. Set aside to cool.
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In a food processor bow Sourdough starter #6 Let milk stand for a day or so in an uncovered container at room
temperature. Add flour to milk and let stand for another couple of days.
When it starts working well and smells right, it is ready to use.
NOTE:
All containers for starters not using yeast, Easy dill pickles * Pickling cucumbers are cucumbers that are not less than 3-inches long
and not more than 4-inches long.

Wash the cucumbers and remove any stems. Cover with cold water and
refrig Tomato-onion phyllo pizza Brush a 15-inch x 10-inch x 1-inch baking pan with some of the melted butter. Lay a sheet of phyllo in pan, folding edges in to fit. (Keep
remaining dough covered with waxed paper to avoid drying out.) Brush dough with butter and sprinkle with 1 tables Alaska sourdough pancakes Put starter in large bowl. Add 2 cups flour and 2 cups milk. Mix well and
cover. Leave in warm place overnight. Next morning take out 1 cup starter.

soda, 2 tb surgar, 1 ts sal "faux" sourdough All ingredients should be at room temperature before starting. Add the
ingredients to the pan in the order listed. Select "White Bread". Press
"Start".
NOTES : I have a very good "faux" sourdough recipe that my family Sliced tomato and onion salad Combine the tomato & onion slices. Make a sauce with the remaining
ingredients & pour over the tomatoes & onion.
Green beans with dill Place frozen green beans in saucepan with boiling water, bouillon
cube, and dill. Cover; bring to a boil. Separate beans with a fork,
reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes or until tender. Drain. Stir
in butter and serve.
Herb-stuffed chicken with caramalized onion, lentil, and fet Cook onions in oil in a 12-inch heavy nonstick skillet over moderately low
heat, stirring frequently, until deep golden brown, 25 to 30 minutes.
Transfer to a medium bowl, reserving 3 1/2 tablespoons onions in a small
bowl for stuffing and sauce. (Do not Six-onion soup Melt butter in a pot. Add onions, leeks, shallots and garlic and cook
covered for about 25 minutes-until tender. Add stock, thyme and bay leaf
and season to taste with s & p. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook for
20 minutes. Strain soup Hot onion squares In a heavy skillet, cook the onion in 2 Tbsp lard, over mod-low heat,
stirring, until it is golden. Stir in the cayenne and salt and
