FYI, it is also recommended that you do NOT make a starter when using dry yeast. The dry yeast are designed in a way that their strength is at maximum when in the dry state and a starter could weaken them before pitching.

I've been using a lot of Coopers dry yeast lately. It's usually done bubbling at about four days, and thats with the fermefridge set at 63 degrees (67 -68 ferment temp). RDWHAHB.

Dry yeast often works incredibly fast. I would agree that your airlock may not be airtight, and that is why there are no bubbles. Wait for the churning to stop and the krausen to fall. Then check the gravity if you have a hydrometer. ...
